La Scala-style French onion chicken and bacon salad recipe
Instructions
Prep:10minCook:5min
The La Scala salad was first made famous in the 50s when a chef put it on the menu at La Scala restaurant in Beverly Hills. It featured lettuce, chickpeas and cheese and over the years has been a favourite among Hollywood celebrities. Our chopped salad version is just as eye-catching with the ingredients layered in a bowl and then turned out onto a plate to make a dome shape, but it’s much more distinctly Australian, featuring a hacky dressing made with French onion dip, chopped BBQ chicken and crispy bacon.
