I just added some broccoli to it and it was very delicious. A little on the sweet side but I didn't mind.

8.5/10. i did less hoisin sauce and replaced it with gochujang for some spicyness. i added my own greens in it (spinach). very fast to make, one pan.

We doubled the spices and used a full pound of linguine. We forgot the red flakes, and this was seriously sweet! So if you skip red pepper flakes, cut brown sugar in half. And if you use red pepper flakes, think about cutting brown sugar in half!

I used lo mein noodles, added broccoli and mushrooms, and doubled up on the sauce. Fabulous!

Recipe as listed slaps pretty good. It's sweet as described, I would suggest cutting the sugar by 25% and maybe use one less clove of garlic. Other than that very tasty and stores and re heats very well.
