Pan fried corn cobs are an international recipe, and every time I make them, I remember the wonderful trips I took to the United States. Corn, in fact, has not always been a part of our culinary tradition, as it was imported from the Americas to Europe by Christopher Columbus in 1493 and remained a simple fodder for animals for a long time before becoming an ingredient of poor peasant cuisine.
