Instant Pot Creamy Ranch Chicken Dinner

I made this for myself and husband. I used Greek yogurt instead of the milk. I also did as some others suggested I used some minced onion, smoked paprika, thyme and Rosemary along with the ranch seasoning. I browned the chicken first on saute. Then put it up on the rack so it would not stick to the bottom of the pan. Added all the veggies. I also used chicken stock instead of water. Mine was creamy and did not need to have thickening. I also used 1 cream or chicken and 1 cream of mushroom.

Subbed water for chicken broth and added some garlic/onion powder + half an onion and sweet potatoe. Was delicious! Might decrease the time to 18 min next time if using medium sized chicken breast. Kid friendly.

This is on the bland side. Next time I will add some additional seasonings.

Used frozen chicken and cooked 30 min. Added onion powder, garlic powder, a bit of smoked paprika, salt and pepper.

Kids loved it! Very moist and flavorful.

I used heavy cream instead of milk. Very good and creamy!

I added way more seasoning (turmeric, paprika, dried onion, fresh garlic, Italian seasoning more salt and pepper and a knob of butter) And added a tablespoon of country gravy mix to the original mix at the beginning. Cut the carrots in half and shredded the chicken at the end. Great flavor! Served with rice and spinach!

The recipe was good. I seasoned the chicken with onion and garlic powder before putting it in the pot and i added a dash of dill seasoning to the top. The kids enjoyed it too.

This was a super easy dump and cook recipe and the chicken came out perfect and moist. I added dried rosemary and onion powder to add more flavor. I think it would be really amazing with fresh dill! I think I will use one less potato next time as is was a bit much. Otherwise, it was great and fed us (2) for 3 days.

Heed the others comments/tips about sauce being thin and how they thickened it. I used flour and a little cornstarch to thicken after I removed veggies and chicken. Family says add it to the menu!!

Here are our leftovers before going in the fridge! I used frozen chicken thighs and 30 minutes cooked them throughout. The whole family liked it, which is a WIN!

I added * 2cans of cream of chicken soup * 2 tbsp of ranch mix And I also used a crockpot it came out so amazing this would be great for holidays and this dish is my husband’s favorite of all time

The recipe was pretty good and I'll definitely make it again, but I think next time I'll add more seasoning

Needs a bit of salt and pepper

I used baby potatoes instead of russet and add a few of my own seasonings… garlic powder, Himalayan salt, parsley. And it turned out great. Will definitely make again

I added some extra seasoning (garlic, salt, pepper, parsley, chili flakes) and it was great! Picky Kid approved! Some of the carrots and potatoes didn’t cook evenly so I’d probably add a minute or two to the cook time or cut them smaller.

It took a while to quick release the pressure, so not a super fast recipe. Also, the sauce didn't really thicken well. Decent flavors though! Next time I will also cut the chicken breasts in half so they cook better

This was a great recipe over all but lacked the flavor I was looking for. Overall super easy and great for family.

Followed the recipe. The only extra I did was added a little slurry to thicken the sauce. It was too watery for me. BUT that may have been because my instant pot is going bad. The meal is quick and delicious.

My husband LOVED this meal. He's on his third helping as we speak. I think I'll pare down the potatoes, add more carrots, add herbs and salt to the chicken, and then it'll be perfect.

YUM! Easy dish. I seasoned my chicken with salt pepper and garlic. And once I plated it, I put salt n pepper on everything. Its so yummy!

I cooked for 30 minutes

I cooked mine on low in a slow cooker while I was at work all day.

Used frozen chicken (which the recipe said was okay) and the chicken was raw. Husband said it tasted like chicken ans dumplings without the dumplings. Not a fan favorite here.

Needed some extra seasoning, just tasted like it was missing something.

3/5 it was ok. Quick meal I can toss in the instant pot and have super ready after weeknight sports. It was very soupy. I liked how it was a complete meal (protein, carb, veggie) in one pot! Will probably make it again but will reduce liquid.

I would add seasonings to the chicken before cooking as the taste was a little bland. My instant pot ended up turning off due to detecting food burn. Notes for next time would be less potatoes, more carrots, and cut the chicken to make more of a soup.

I made it in the crock pot and just let it cool on low all day long. The potatoes did not absorb much of the flavor.

Super easy dinner. Will be making it often.

I made some changes but it turned out delicious. As you can see, mine is drowning in ranchy goodness. I kept the sauce ingredients at the same amounts for half the chicken (2 large breasts,) and don’t regret a thing. I added 3 large russets cut into quarters, 4 large carrots in chunks, 2.5 tablespoons of ranch seasoning in place of the packet, and swapped the milk for heavy cream. I started with frozen breasts, sprayed them with oil & seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Then I set them in the water skin side down, cut my potatoes and carrots & threw them on top, then poured the sauce mix on top of that. I didn’t increase the time at all- pressure cooked on high 20 mins, quick release. Chicken was well done, lightly browned on top, and practically shredded itself when I went to slice it. I thickened the sauce with cornstarch at the end, too. Sooo good for last minute throw- together dinner with frozen breasts!!! I would’ve laughed if you told me I’d be cooking breasts & other meats from frozen just a few months ago.
