Easy Spinach Ricotta Pasta

I found the original recipie to be a little bland. I added my own seasonings and a bit of parmesean. My husband really liked it and requested to add this to our week day favorites list due to the taste and overall simplicity of the meal.

As the other reviews mentioned it was bland, I decided to add extra garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, and dill - which worked. I also made it in one pot to save on dishes. Turned out great, will do again!

The original recipe tastes bland. Added more spinach and garlic. Used fresh baby spinach chopped instead of frozen, tastes better

Really bland. You’re better off making an Alfredo sauce

I added italian sausage and fire roasted tomatoes to the sauce. Turned out very good.

I added a whole bulb of garlic, lots of other seasonings and it was still bland. Like eating plain pasta with plain boiled spinach. Gonna delete this one from my folder

Great taste, just added chicken and other sort of pasta. It tasted good with a bit of a salty taste because of the amount of salad cheese but we liked it.

Added mushroom and a little cream cheese.

It was good! Now need to up the sixes and find the right flavor

There’s a couple comments the sauce is bland - I’d usually stick to measuring spices with my heart ❤️ instead of the recipe. Add more garlic and a bit more salt. Add thyme and dill if you want a more herby flavor. And ricotta is well complimented with some fresh lemon juice. I cut a lemon in half and just did two light squeezes - tons more flavor and very bright and fresh. We also added chicken cooked in a bit of chicken broth and the same spices used in the sauce. Dumped the chicken and leftover broth into the sauce as well.

Definitely lacks flavour. I hadnto add alot of salt

Was a little clumpy and dry. Tried to add some heavy, whipping cream and more garlic. Still was not that great won’t be making again.

I also added some feta cheese for more taste and garlic powder instead of the fresh one. Very light and tasty

Needs more seasonings, maybe add feta

I guessed how much spinach to use so in the end I used too much, but it was still good, I just added more milk. I also added freshly chopped parsley and topped it with parmesan cheese.

This dish was very bland. I doubled the recipe, used half ricotta and half cream cheese, added sauted mushrooms and it still required the addition of lots of parm and salt after plating. It sounded and looked so good so this was kind of a bummer.

Added grated parmesan cheese at the end. Was very very delicious considering how easy and quick it was to prepare.

Very quick and easy. Not a bad taste though I would use a cream cheese instead. The cottage cheese gives a dry texture to the pasta.

This looks alot better than it tastes. It was bland and needed something. I think I just hate ricotta -- so I might be biased -- but this dish would benefit from some extra salt, seasoning (of some sort), and chicken.😖 Just not enough flavor lol

My family really likes spinach, so I used a bit more than the recipe called for. We added some sea salt on top of our plated food and that really added to the flavor. I would definitely make this again, but next time I will make a larger portion for leftovers! :)

I enjoyed this recipe. It was a nice alternative to the tomato based pasta dishes I usually cook.

I made it with brocoli

Followed recipe exactly. Did need to add some pasta water towards the end so make sure you save some. Served with air fryer chicken thighs and mediterranean chick pea salad

This was so easy and delicious! I added chicken to mine, including the fond from the frying pan. Highly recommend!
