Heat up cooking oil in a dutch oven till temperature reaches approximately 375 degrees. Gently add in breadfruit chucks one at a time, turn down heat to medium high, deep fry breadfruit chucks for 5-6 minutes until they are golden brown on the edge, remove to drain.

Add water and sugar together in a skillet on high heat, bring to boil, slowly stir for several minutes, it will start to form big bubbles with the syrup, continue to stir the syrup on medium low heat until the big bubbles turn into small bubbles and yellowish color. Shut off heat immediately when this happens, mix in deep fried breadfruit to coat with the syrup quickly, it will instantly form a sugary and silky string attached to the breadfruit when you pull it away (this is what you are looking for), transfer onto a plate immediately. Serve warm as a snack or dessert immediately.
