Caramelized Kimchi Hot Dogs

Caramelized Kimchi Dogs for this 4th of July! If you've never cooked kimchi in butter, you're in for a real treat.

Ingredients
4 servings
3 tablespoonsunsalted butter
divided
1 cupkimchi
chopped, with liquid squeezed from it
1 cupshredded mozzarella
4hot dogs
4hot dog buns

Instructions
Step 1
1. Place a pan over medium-high heat and melt 2 tablespoons butter.
Step 2
2. Add kimchi and sauté for 4 to 5 minutes.
Step 3
3. Lower heat to medium and continue to cook for an additional 3 to 4 minutes. Remove from heat.
Step 4
4. Melt remaining tablespoon butter and cook hot dogs for 3 to 4 minutes. (Alternatively cook hot dogs on a grill and omit 1 tablespoon butter from the recipe).
Step 5
5. Place hot dogs in buns and top each with some caramelized kimchi.
Step 6
6. Transfer the hot dogs to a baking sheet and top each with shredded mozzarella. Place under the broiler for 1 to 2 minutes until cheese has melted and is bubbly.
Step 7
7. Remove from heat, top each with green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds. Serve.
