Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200’C and line your baking tray with greaseproof paper
Step 2
Put the flour in a large bowl. Add the butter, break it into pieces with your fingers
Step 3
Rub the butter into the flour until it looks like breadcrumbs
Step 4
Add the sugar and milk and any additions and squeeze the mixture together to warm up the butter. It should come together into a ball
Step 5
Break into 10 golf ball sized pieces. Roll into balls your hands. Put onto the tray and press onto the tray,

Sprinkle with sugar

Bake in a hot over for 10 – 12 mins until it is very lightly golden (don’t worry if it feels soft, it will harden when the butter cools)
Step 8
When cool, remove from the dish and enjoy
