Step 1
1. Slice 1 green onion thinly and chop 2 cloves of garlic. Cut the red chili pepper in half and slice it thinly.

2. Trim the ends of the eggplants. Cut them in half lengthwise and then into bite-sized pieces.

3. When the water is boiling, place the eggplants in a steamer. Steam them for about 4 minutes. After 4 minutes, take them from the steamer and let them cool slightly.

4. How to make seasoning sauce: In a bowl, add 2 tablespoons of soy sauce for the soup (gukganjang), 1 tablespoon of tuna fish sauce or fish sauce, 1 tablespoon of sesame oil, 1/2 tablespoon of minced garlic, 1 teaspoon of sugar or honey, the sliced green onion and red chili pepper, and 1 tablespoon of ground sesame seeds. Mix the seasoning sauce well.

5. Place the eggplants in the seasoning sauce bowl. Gently mix them together. If some of the eggplants are large, you can tear them in half. Transfer the dish to a serving plate.
