Garlic and Honey Pork Steaks

Instructions

Step 1
Remove the Pork steaks from the fridge at least 30 mins before cooking.
Step 2
Using kitchen paper, pat the steaks as dry as you can.
Step 3
Place the Salt, pepper, chilli, garlic and onion powder, paprika and ginger powder in a bowl and mix.
Step 4
Next sprinkle the rub onto the steaks and ensure the whole of the steak is coated in the rub.
Step 5
Heat a frying pan and add a tbsp of oil.
Step 6
Once the pan is hot, add in the steaks and cook on both sides until caramelised. Once both sides are cooked using tongs stack the steaks together and place the steaks on the fatty edge and render the fat as you can, then remove the steaks and rest on a plate.
Step 7
Using the same pan pour in approx. 100ml. of the beef stock and deglaze the bottom of the pan, ensure you scrape the bottom of the pan, allow to simmer for 2 mins before adding in another 150ml of stock and allow to simmer and reduce by half.
Step 8
Next add in 50g of salted butter and 4 crushed garlic cloves, and stir until the butter has melted.
Step 9
Add in 1-2 tbsp of honey depending on your liking and stir in until combined reduce the heat and all ow to simmer.
Step 10
Cut the steaks into thin strips and place into the pan and coat well in the sauce, then stir in the chopped parsley and you are ready to serve.
Step 11
Plate up with Mustard Mashed potato and vegetables of your choice.

Lick you’re lips and enjoy.
