Step 1
Coat shanks lightly with flour salt and pepper, brown in pan once browned put aside and add rest of oil, onion, garlic to pan once onions clear pour balsamic, maple, toms, carrots (sliced) season. Stir well till bubbled then remove and add this to slow cooker for 4 hours high or 8 hours low
