Instructions
Step 1
Whisk flour and milk in a saucepan and cook on stove, whisking constantly on medium heat until it thickens.
Step 2
Press mixture through a strainer and let it cool.
Step 3
Beat butter and sugar until fluffy.
Step 4
Add milk mixture.
Step 5
If wanted, add flavoring and/or food coloring.
Step 6
Beat for 7-12 minutes on high speed.
Step 7
If you have to beat for longer than 7 minutes, try putting an ice pack on the bowl.
