Instructions

Crust

Step 1
Cut butter into small pieces or mash with fork into flour mixture. Add 6-8 Tablespoons of cold water (can also try in food processor).

Filling

Step 2
Scald milk in small pot. In a separate saucepan, combine sugar, flour and salt. Gradually stir in milk. Stir continuously.l on medium heat until thickened. Cover and stir occasionally for 2 minutes.
Step 3
In a bowl, slightly whisk 3 egg yolks. Stir in a small amount of the warm milk mixture, stirring continuously. Then pour remaining egg/milk mixture into pot with rest of milk mixture. Layer bananas on the bottom of crust, then pour filling over bananas into prepared crust. Set aside some bananas for topping.
Step 4
Bake pie at 350 F for 35 min. Top with homemade whipped cream and sliced banana before serving.
