Instructions

Step 1
In a large dutch oven add diced onion and ground beef. Cook until onion is translucent and beef is browned.
Step 2
Add dried seasonings and mix. Cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds - 1 minute. Then add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
Step 3
Add in the rest of your ingredients except the rice. Cover and allow to cook for about an hour, or until cabbage is tender. Make sure to stir frequently so nothing sticks to the bottom of the pot.
Step 4
Make sure your soup is at a rolling boil then add rice and give it a good stir. Put the lid back on the pot and remove from heat. Allow to stand about 10 minutes, until rice is cooked.
