Instructions

Step 1
Season the chicken with the garlic powder and onion powder.
Step 2
In a pan over medium heat add in oil. After the oil is hot add in the chicken. Cook for 5 minutes per side, remove, and set aside.
Step 3
To that same pan add in butter. Once the butter is melted add in the onion.
Step 4
Cook for 15-20 minutes stirring every couple minutes.
Step 5
Stir in French onion soup mix packet and water. Bring to a boil.
Step 6
Add back in the chicken, cover with the sauce, switch heat to low, cover pan and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
Step 7
Once chicken is cooked through top with provolone cheese. Cover for 2-3 minutes until the cheese melts.
Step 8
Note: serve over pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes!
