Instructions

Step 1
Sauté the Vegetables:
Step 2
In a large skillet or pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
Step 3
Add the chopped onion, carrot, celery, and minced garlic. Sauté for about 5 minutes until the vegetables begin to soften.
Step 4
Brown the Meat:
Step 5
Add the ground beef (or turkey) to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables. Cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until it's browned and cooked through.
Step 6
Add Tomatoes and Seasonings:
Step 7
Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper. Mix everything well.
Step 8
Simmer:
Step 9
Reduce the heat to medium-low and let the sauce simmer for about 10-15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the sauce to thicken.
Step 10
Cook the Spaghetti:
Step 11
While the sauce is simmering, cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Step 12
Serve:
Step 13
Plate the cooked spaghetti and ladle the Bolognese sauce over it.
Step 14
Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese or dairy-free alternative.
Step 15
If desired, add fresh basil leaves for a burst of flavor.
