Instructions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).In a large bowl, mix the sliced apples with lemon juice, granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and nutmeg. Toss to combine and coat the apples evenly.

Transfer the apple mixture to a baking dish.

In another bowl, combine the flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, and salt.

Add the cold butter pieces to the flour mixture. Use your fingers or a pastry cutter to work the butter into the dry until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
