Step 1
Add whole-wheat flour rye flour most of the oats reserving a few for the top salt and baking soda . Whisk to combine thoroughly

In another jug or bowl add Guiness ( or other stout and also it can be alcohol free if you like ) buttermilk olive oil and molasses and whisk to combine

Step 3
Pour the wet ingredients into the centre of the dry ingredients and stir until just combined . Place into a 1 lb lined loaf pan then add the remaining oats on top. Bake at 180 c or 360 f for about 45 minutes . Check the centre with a knife and if it comes out dry it’s done . Let it cool a little bit before slicing and enjoy
