2-Day Creamy Pork and Rice Soup

Day 1 is a yummy warm pork and rice stew with flavorful broth. Day 2 refreshes the stew with warm cream and features lovely soft rice bursting with flavor.

Instructions

Step 1
Sautee chopped bacon in dutch oven on stove until it starts to brown
Step 2
Add chopped onions, garlic, rice, seasonings and butter. Sautee until onions are translucent and the bottom of the pan starts to build up a brown layer of stuff
Step 3
Deglaze pan with white wine, scrape up stuff on bottom of pan until nothing is stuck.
Step 4
Add stock, pork, and mixed veggies. Allow to simmer until rice is cooked.
Step 5
Add cream to day-old leftovers once rice has absorbed all the leftover stock. Or use less stock and a thickening agent like flour and add cream same day.
