Thumbprint Cookies

8 steps
Prep:15minCook:14min
As we continue our Christmas Countdown, today's highlight is the Thumbprint Cookies. These are the kind of cookies that bring a smile with their classic, buttery base and a dollop of sweet berry jam in the center. They're simple, but oh so special. A little almond extract in the dough gives them that extra hint of warmth, pairing perfectly with the berries. They're perfect for sharing at cookie swaps or just enjoying at home with a hot cup of tea. And if you're feeling festive, roll the edges in some crushed nuts or a bit of sparkly sugar to make them look as merry as they taste!
