Slow Cooker Chicken Marsala

A handwritten recipe from an unknown source in my old recipe collection. Make 1 lb of fettuccini or linguini to go with this dish.

Instructions

Step 1
Heat olive oil in large pan over medium heat. Season chicken on both soides with salt and pepper.
Step 2
Place chicken in the pan and cook 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
Step 3
Place chicken, garlic, wine, broth and mushrooms in the slow cooker.
Step 4
Cook LOW for 5 hours.
Step 5
Remove chicken. Whisk together cornstarch with 1/3 c cold water. Pour into slow cooker and stir to combine.
Step 6
Return chicken into slow cooker, cook HIGH 30 minutes or until sauce thickens.
Step 7
Stir in heavy cream and season sauce with salt & pepper. Sprinkle with parsley and serve.
