Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Step 2
dice half an onion and add to skillet with uncooked ground beef and generously season with Italian, garlic, salt, and pepper. Cook and stir ground beef and diced onion in a large skillet over medium heat until no longer pink and completely browned, 7 to 10 minutes
Step 3
Stir cream of mushroom soup and green beans into the cooked ground beef; pour the mixture into a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Step 4
Layer 1 cup of the cheese onto the beef mixture then layer tater tots evenly over the ground beef mixture; top with remaining Cheddar cheese
Step 5
Bake until tater tots are golden brown and hot, about 40 minutes.
