Absolutely amazing and decadent chocolate chip cookies

Melt butter
Step 2
Preheat oven to 325°

Whisk melted butter in with sugars
Step 4
Continue whisking and add water, vanilla and egg until the batter turns to a light caramel color

Sprinkle dry ingredients over top and lightly combine with fingers before bringing the batter together with a mixing spatula

Rough chop chocolate and combine into batter

Let batter rest for 15 minutes

Shape batter into large balls that would fit into the palm of your hand. These make very large cookies, so the batter should yield 9 balls. Place into the oven on an ungreased baking sheet

The baking time varies and these have to be watched closely. Once they have spread, take them out and knock baking sheet a few times so the cookies fall, and return to the oven until browned. Mine took ~24 minutes in total. When done, sprinkle a little kosher salt over top and cool.
