Instructions
Step 1
Steam Cauliflower: Steam the cauliflower florets until they are tender. This can be done using a steamer basket or by boiling the cauliflower in a pot of water. Once tender, allow the cauliflower to cool slightly.
Step 2
Mash Cauliflower: Use a potato masher or a fork to mash the steamed cauliflower until it reaches a rice-like consistency. Remove excess moisture by placing the mashed cauliflower in a clean kitchen towel and squeezing out any water.
Step 3
Mix Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed cauliflower, grated Parmesan cheese, almond flour, eggs, minced garlic, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well until a uniform batter is formed.
Step 4
Form Fritters: Take a small portion of the batter and shape it into a fritter or patty. Repeat this process until all the batter is used.
Step 5
Fry the Fritters: Heat cooking oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the cauliflower fritters until they are golden brown and crispy on both sides. This typically takes 3-4 minutes per side.
Step 6
Drain and Keep Warm: Once the fritters are cooked, place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Transfer them to the preheated oven to keep warm while you cook the remaining batches.
Step 7
Serve: Serve the cauliflower fritters hot with your favorite dipping sauce, such as tzatziki or marinara.
