Recipe:
Ingredients-
1 cup of dried peas, rinsed in water and drained.
1 onion, chopped
2 carrots, peeled and chopped
2 parsnips, peeled and chopped
1/4 celery root, peeled and chopped
4 whole garlic cloves
2 golden potatoes, peeled and chopped
4 tablespoons of olive oil
1 teaspoon of pink salt
1/2 teaspoon of turmeric
1/2 teaspoon of ground coriander
1 teaspoon of cumin
1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
1 teaspoon of Hawaij spice
Boiling water to cover the veggies
Handful of dill leaves with the sprigs
Method-
1. Put all the chopped veggies, dried peas and the seasoning (except for the dill) in a large pot.
2. Pour boiling water to cover the veggies.
3. Add the dill sprigs.
4. Cover with a lid and cook it on medium-low heat for 50 minutes.
5. Serve it with fresh dill on top and Shkedei Marak (mini croutons).
