Air Fryer Maple Whiskey Hot Wings

I have been playing around with some new wing sauces and this one does not disappoint!
These maple whiskey hot wings just hit so many checkmarks and are absolutely delicious. This recipe is super quick too, thanks to air frying them. You can start the wings and make the sauce all under 30 minutes. This is definitely going to be a go to for me!

Step 1
Preheat air fryer to 375 degrees.
Step 2
In a large bowl, season your wings with olive oil and 1 tbsp of your bbq seasoning.

Add your cornstarch to the wings and mix everything together until no more of the white powder from the cornstarch is seen.

Air fry for 15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Step 5
While your wings, in a pot over medium heat, begin melting your butter.

Add in your whiskey, maple syrup, hot sauce, 1 tbsp bbq seasoning and some fresh thyme and rosemary.

Stir everything together and let it simmer for 5-10 minutes, until you have a smooth and thick sauce.
Step 8
Place your cooked wings in a large glass bowl and toss with the sauce.
Step 9
Place back in the air fryer for an additional 3-5 minutes, until the sauce starts to bubble and caramelize.
Step 10
Then just let them cool slightly and enjoy!
