Easter Sugar Cookie Bars - Foodness Gracious

Instructions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a 13×9 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
Step 2
Combine the flour and baking powder in a bowl and set aside.
Step 3
Using a stand mixer, beat the butter and sugar until creamy.
Step 4
Scrape the sides of the bowl down and add the vanilla and eggs making sure they are well mixed.
Step 5
Slowly add the flour mixture on low speed and mix until a dough forms.
Step 6
Dump the dough unto your prepared baking pan and press it out to fit the pan making sure it’s even.
Step 7
Bake int the oven for 20 minutes and then let cool.
Step 8
To make the frosting add the powdered sugar, butter, vanilla and milk to the mixing bowl again.
Step 9
Use a whisk on low speed until all of the are incorporated and then switch to high speed until light and creamy. Make sure to scrape the sides of the bowl a few times with a spatula.
Step 10
Carefully lift the sugar cookie bars from the pan and set down on a wooden board.
Step 11
Spread the frosting on top of the sugar cookie bars and decorate with the sprinkles, candy eggs and chocolate creme eggs.
Step 12
Slice into small squares and serve.
