Instructions

Step 1
Side Preparation: When the water boils, add the washed broccoli. Steam it in a steamer for about 1-2 minutes. Then, take it out, let it cool on a plate, season with salt and pepper, add a tablespoon of olive oil, and mix. It's ready to be served as a healthy side.
Step 2
Vegetable Preparation: Slice carrots, mushrooms, half an onion, and 5 garlic cloves thinly. Cut 4 green onions into pieces. These will be stir-fried with meat. Mince 3 more garlic cloves for the sauce.
Step 3
Bulgogi Sauce Preparation: In a bowl, put 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 tablespoon of honey, 2 tablespoon of cooking wine or mirim, 1 tablespoon of minced garlic, 1/2 teaspoon of minced ginger, a little pepper, and 1 teaspoon of gochugaru (optional).
Step 4
Meat Preparation: Prepare thinly sliced beef for bulgogi. Remove some of the blood with a kitchen towel. Cut it into bite-sized pieces about three times.
Step 5
Heat up a pan with some oil, then fry the sliced garlic until it smells good. Add the meat and cook it mostly through. Push the meat to one side and add the veggies. When the onions look a bit translucent, pour the bulgogi sauce. Stir-fry it for a minute. For a more delicious and glossy finish, you can add a little starch mixture to adjust the thickness.
Step 6
Turn off the heat and add 1 tablespoon of sesame oil. Sprinkle some sesame seeds as well.
Step 7
Place the rice and broccoli in a bowl and place the bulgogi in the middle. Savory and nutritious bulgogi rice is done!
