Cook the sausages first by boiling, grilling, or pan-frying them until they're cooked through. Once cooked, cut them into bite-sized pieces and set aside.

In the same pan, add a little more oil if needed, then add the chopped onion and carrots. Cook until softened, about 5-7 minutes.

Next, pour 4 cups of water into the bowl with the rice and gently stir.
