Instructions
Step 1
Mix together the sugar and xanthan gum.
Step 2
In a saucepan on low, stir the sugar mixture into milk, bring to a gentle boil until all dry ingredients have dissolved.
Step 3
Add in heavy cream and your extracts. If you like a stronger flavor use 1/2 instead of 1/3.
Step 4
Optional: Add in food coloring one drop at a time if until desired color.
Step 5
Pour into container and place in fridge to chill, 4 hours at least but overnight is best.
Step 6
Pour your ice cream mixture into your ice cream machine and follow your machine's instructions for usual time (typically 25 to 30 minutes)
