Instructions

Syrup

Step 1
In a pot, add the sugar, water, orange juice, cinnamon stick and bring to a boil

Remove from the heat and set aside to cool

Portokalópita

Step 3
Preheat your oven to 180°C
Step 4
Start by slicing the filo and set aside
Step 5
In a mixing bowl, mix the eggs with the sugars and the orange zest
Step 6
Add the seed oil, orange juice, greek yogurt, baking powder and ground cinnamon

Add the sliced filo in 3 times to ensure every slice is well incorporated
Step 8
Pour the mixture into a buttered 25x30 baking pan
Step 9
Bake at 180°C for 45 minutes
Step 10
Once out of the oven immediately pour the cooled syrup on top of the portokalópita
Step 11
Allow 30 minutes for the syrup to be absorbed before serving 💛🍊
