Mom's Frosted Banana Bars

While one of many similar recipes out there, I'm sure, this was the one my mom made. The sour cream adds a nice tang and the frosting is phenomenal.

Banana Bars
½ cupbutter
softened
1 ½ cupssugar
2eggs
8 ozsour cream
1 tablespoonvanilla extract
2 cupsall purpose flour
1 teaspoonbaking soda
¼ teaspoonsalt
1 cupbananas
mashed, medium, ripe

Instructions
For Banana Bars
Step 1
In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar.
Step 2
Mix in eggs, sour cream, and vanilla extract
Step 3
Combine flour, baking soda, and salt and slowly mix into bowl with other ingredients.
Step 4
Mix in bananas.
Step 5
Spread mixture into a greased 15x10x1 inch baking pan.
Step 6
Bake at 350 Fahrenheit for 20-25 minutes (until toothpick comes out clean)
Step 7
Allow banana bars to cool.
Step 8
Frosting
Step 9
In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, butter, and vanilla.
Step 10
Gradually beat in enough powdered sugar for preferred consistency.
Step 11
Frost cooled bars.
Step 12
Store in refrigerator.
