Ingredients
1 servings
1russet potato
large
½ Tbsppaprika
optional
½ Tbsponion powder
optional
½ Tbspgarlic powder
optional
½ tspcayenne pepper
chili powder, or chipotle powder, optional
Mustard (optional)
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 425°F/220°C. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
Step 2
Spiralize the potato into a large bowl. Use scissors to cut the strips into 6- to 8-inch lengths so that they cook more evenly and do not tangle.
Step 3
Add your choice of spices to the spiralized potato, tossing to coat evenly.
Step 4
Spread the fries evenly on the prepared baking sheets. Do not overcrowd. Bake for 15 minutes; then remove the baking sheets from the oven and thoroughly flip and rearrange the fries so that the less crispy ones have more space. Return to the oven and bake for another 10 to 15 minutes, being sure to stir them every few minutes and taking out the ones that are crispy. Keep a close eye on the fries, as they can burn quickly!
Step 5
Alternatively, you can make these in an air fryer at 400°F/200°C for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes.
Step 6
Make the ketchup. Set aside.
Step 7
To make the mustard, combine all the ingredients in a small bowl and whisk until well combined. Set aside.
