Instructions

Step 1
Place the almonds in a large bowl and cover with water. Cover the bowl and let soak for 4-6 hours or overnight.

Drain and rinse the almonds.
Step 3
Tip almonds into a blender with 750ml cold water. Blend until smooth.
Step 4
Transfer the mixture into a seive lined with muslin, positioned over a jug, and let it strain. Gently stir the mixture with a spoon to speed up the process.
Step 5
Once the majority of the liquid has passed through into the jug, gather the edges of the muslin and firmly squeeze with clean hands to extract the remaining milk.
