Instructions
Step 1
Rinse the basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
Step 2
In a steamer basket or pot, place the shrimp and broccoli together. Add water to the bottom of the steamer with the juice of ½ lemon for a subtle citrus flavor.
Step 3
Steam for 6–8 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque and the broccoli is tender but not mushy.
Step 4
Plate the rice as a base. Arrange the steamed shrimp and broccoli on top.
Step 5
Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper to taste.
