Instructions
Step 1
Prepare broccoli. Remove stems and cut into small, bite sized florets.
Step 2
Bring a pot of water to the boil. Add Salt. Cook the broccoli in the boiling water for 2-3 minutes. Remove the broccoli with a slotted spoon and plunge into the bowl of iced water. Drain excess water.
Step 3
Tahini Dressing: In a bowl, whisk together minced garlic and ginger with rice vinegar and soy sauce. If you want this to be spicy, add optional chopped Jalapeno. Set aside for about 5 minutes to allow the garlic and ginger to mellow. Add tahini and optional cracked black pepper. Stir well to mix.
Step 4
Add the tahini dressing to broccoli. Toss to coat. Add chopped green onion
Step 5
Serve it over a bed of fresh mixed greens with your choice of protein or as a side dish to any main meal you are having.
