Step 1
Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a cooking sheet with foil and spray with nonstick spray. Melt butter and sugar over medium heat, stirring constantly. Bring to a boil and boil for 30 seconds while stirring. Remove from heat and stir in salt and vanilla. Pour mixture over crackers and bake for 5 minutes. Sprinkle chocolate chips over hot cracker caramel pan. Allow to sit and melt 5 minutes then spread with a spatula. Cool on the counter then further cool in the freezer. Remove from pan and break into pieces. Store in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer.
