Instructions
Step 1
Combine your butter, sour cream, milk, egg, sugar, garlic powder, and salt. Whisk and pop in the microwave for 30 seconds to warm up the mixture.
Step 2
Add your flour and instant yeast. If kneading by hand, mix the dough with a wooden spoon until it comes together, then oil your hands and knead for about 12 minutes or until the dough is tacky to touch. If using a stand mixer with a hook attachment, knead for about 6 minutes. Cover and allow the dough to rise for about an hour and a half, or until the dough has doubled in size.
Step 3
For the cheese filling, combine the ricotta and the mozzarella. For the garlic butter topping, melt your butter, and add chopped garlic and parsley.
Step 4
Once your dough has doubled in size, punch it down and cut into 16 balls. Flatten the balls to create a disk, add 1 tbsp of cheese filling in the center, and pinch the edges to seal. Make sure that the balls are properly sealed so that the cheese doesn’t come out during baking. Place rolls in an oiled 9x13 baking pan and allow to rise for another 45 minutes.
Step 5
Preheat your oven to 350f. Brush the rolls with an egg wash, and bake for about 25-30minutes. As soon as it comes out, brush generously with your garlic butter and enjoy!
