Instructions

Cake

Step 1
Heat the oven to 180C.
Step 2
Melt the butter in the saucepan, remove from the heat & mix in the cream.
Step 3
Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl.
Step 4
Add the liquid ingredients to the bowl and mix until smooth.
Step 5
Bake in preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes. The longer the cake is in the oven the less "muddy" it will be. The key to a great mud cake is to let it chill in the fridge a few hours after removing it from the oven.

Serve as is, or with some ice cream or whipped cream
