Step 1
Mix ground beef and sausage together in a bowl. Roll into 48 meatballs. Cook at 350 until browning - about 15 minutes.

Step 2
Bring ketchup, brown sugar, whiskey, and onion to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.

bourbon¾ cup
dried onion1 ½ tsp
Step 3
Add meatballs and simmer for 10 minutes
If making ahead of time, refrigerate now
Step 4
Add all ingredients to a crock pot on low. If refrigerated, do this about 3 hours ahead of time to slowly bring up to heat.
