Instructions
Step 1
Juice lemons and put the juice into a blender. Make sure to remove any seeds that may have fallen in the juice.
Step 2
Chop up clean ginger into one inch cubes and plop them into the blender. (No need to peel ginger, as we will be straining the juice after blending. Ginger skin is actually edible, by the way!)
Step 3
Add honey and cayenne, if using. 1/4 tsp cayenne with this amount of juice and ginger will produce a medium level of spice.
Step 4
Place the lid on the blender and blend on high until completely smooth, 30 seconds to one minute.
Step 5
Place a strainer over bowl (preferably one with a pour spout) and strain the liquid. You will need to use a spoon to press all of the liquid out of the pulp. The final product will have some pulp in it. If you do not like much pulp, you will have to use cheese cloth.
Step 6
Fill jars half way with the juice.
Step 7
Add enough water to fill jars leaving 1/4 inch of space at the top. Place lids on jars. Wellness shots will last 2-3 days in the refrigerator. Freeze what you will not consume within 2-3 days. Shake before consuming.
