Cauliflower with tahini in the oven, a Lebanese appetizer dish, simple and rich in healthy nutritional ingredients with a sauce of tahini, garlic, and lemon juice, suitable also as main course.

Instructions

Step 1
Prepare an oven dish suitable for serving, preheat the oven to a temperature of 180 degrees Celsius.
Step 2
Chop the cauliflower using a knife to equal florets.
Step 3
Heat the oil in a large frying pan, and fry the florets in the oil, stirring with a spoon until they become golden in color.
Step 4
Transfer the florets to kitchen paper towel to get rid of the excess oil.
Step 5
Heat olive oil with a little florets frying oil in a deep frying pan. Add onions, Garlic and stir with a wooden spoon until soft.
Step 6
Put tahini, water and lemon juice in a deep dish, then add salt and black pepper. Stir the ingredients with the hand mixer until a smooth mixture is formed. (you may adjust the thickness by adding water gradually).
Step 7
Add the tahini mixture to the onion in the pan and bring it to a boil.
Step 8
Place the roasted florets in an oven tray and pour the tahini mixture with onions on top.
Step 9
Put the tray in the oven for 30 minutes, until the sauce becomes little thick.
Step 10
Take the tray out of the oven, pour it in serving dish, decorate it with chopped parsley & roasted pine nuts, and serve hot.
