Beetroot Lentil Burgers
This recipe should make 6 patties. Ideally atleast double the recipe if going through the hassle of making this.

½ tspred chili powder
½ tspcoriander powder
½ tspturmeric powder
½ tspgaram masala powder
½ tspcumin powder
½ tspgarlic powder

Prep
Step 1
1. Grind the oats to a fine powder and keep aside

2. Finely chop coriander and keep aside
Step 3
3. Peel the onions and beetroot. Cut into quarters
Step 4
4. Chop the onions and green chillies in a food processor and keep aside
Step 5
5. Chop the beetroot & mushrooms in a food processor
Cook the mixture

6. Heat 1 tsp oil in a pot on medium heat. Add the onions and green chillies and cook till they turn translucent. (about 5 minutes)

7. Add the ginger garlic paste. Cook until raw aroma of ginger garlic goes away

8. Add the spice blend and bloom for 30 seconds.
Step 9
9. Add the beetroot and mushrooms and cook until vegetables are softened, and all the liquids have been absorbed. (about 4 minutes)
Making & Cooking the Patties

10. In a large bowl, mash the beans well to break them up. Add the flaxseed powder, oats, cooked vegetables and crack in two eggs. Combine until the mixture holds together when pressed between your thumb and fingers.

11. Use a cling film lined ¼ measuring cup to form the patties

12. Refrigerate for 30 minutes

13. These patties can be cooked on the stove top in a pan or in the oven (30 minutes 190C flipping halfway)
