Homemade Vanilla Oat Milk
The only thing I DON'T like about oat milk?
When you buy it from your local grocery store... it's often FILLED with unnecessary sugar, oils and preservatives.
That's why last year, I started making my OWN oat milk in my own kitchen...
And while that might sound a bit labor intensive — it's actually a lot easier, tastier, and cheaper than you might think!
(Not to mention, it contains zero fillers, or additives.)
Now, you can definitely use nuts, like cashews, almonds, or hazelnuts to make milk if you’d like…
But I personally recommend using rolled oats because they’re more affordable than nuts, yet equally as nutritious and also give the milk a more creamy texture.
I think you’ll love this homemade oat milk recipe, and here’s why:
In addition to the creamy taste, this oat milk helps up your intake of fiber…
And fiber is known to keep you full, helping you more easily resist the urge for unhealthy snacks.
It contains no excess sugar or preservatives found in grocery store oat milks.
It’s WAY cheaper than store-bought versions, which can cost upwards of $5 for a half-gallon.
After learning how easy it was to make this healthy oat milk, I’ve stopped buying store-bought milks altogether.
So although the occasional coffee shop upcharge for storebought oat milk may be unavoidable…
(I mean, we all deserve a treat now and again!) —
I hope this recipe helped you discover an affordable way to start enjoying more plant-based milk… without all the added “bad stuff” getting in the way.
