Ingredients
4 servings
1 lbfresh green beans
washed, dried & ends trimmed
2 tablespoonsavocado oil
or olive oil
2cloves of garlic
⅓ teaspoonfine sea salt
or more to taste
¼ teaspoonblack pepper
freshly cracked, or more to taste
⅛ tsponion salt
we use the one from Trader Joe's, optional but so delicious
¼ cupwater
¼ cuppecans
toasted, chopped
¼ cupsliced almonds
toasted
Instructions
Step 1
HEAT PAN: Add the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
Add the trimmed green beans and cook, stirring often, until the beans are bright and glossy and slightly brown.
Step 2
SEASON BEANS: Add the garlic and season with salt, black pepper and optional seasonings. Cook, stirring constantly, until the garlic is fragrant, about 30 seconds.
Step 3
STEAM: Add water and cover with lid. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the beans are bright green and crisp-tender.
Step 4
SERVE: Season to taste as needed and serve with toasted nuts and lemon wedges, if desired.
