For the Cake :

Instructions
Step 1
Cream sugar and eggs. Sugar must be dissolved.
Step 2
Sift flour and baking powder into egg mixture.
Step 3
Melt butter and milk and add to egg mixture.
Step 4
Mix well.
Step 5
Pour mixture into a large, flat, buttered dish.
Step 6
Bake for 20-30 min. at 180°C.
Step 7
Syrup:
Step 8
Boil sugar, water and butter together for 5 minutes.
Step 9
Add 1 cup juice of orange and 2 tbsp orange zest.
Step 10
When cake is done, prick with fork and pour syrup over immediately.
