Roasted Garlic Butter
1garlic head
1 tspolive oil
1 stickbutter
room temperature
½ tspsalt
½ tspparsley
¼ tsprosemary
¼ tspbasil
¼ tspblack pepper

Instructions
Roasted Garlic Butter
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Step 2
Remove the outermost paper from your whole garlic blossom.
Step 3
Cut off the top 1/4th of the blossom.

Drizzle with olive oil, wrap in aluminum foil and roast for 30-40 minutes.

During this time, bake at least 2 strips of bacon (this will be for the spread. Bake more for the sandwich assembly if desired) on a cookie sheet until fully cooked (about 12 minutes). Drain on paper towels and set aside.

Once the blossom has cooled enough to handle, squeeze the cloves into the butter.

Add all seasonings and mix well. The cloves will break apart during mixing. Set aside.
Jalapeño spread

Turn your oven onto broil.

Take your sliced and seeded jalapeños and place them on a broil safe pan. Broil until the skin begins to blacken. Checking often to prevent them from fully burning.

With a hand mixer, blend all other ingredients together until smooth.

Once the blackened jalapeños are cooked enough to handle, dice into small pieces. Add to the spread and mix well.

Taste the spread to see if it needs salt, mine did not.
Assembly

Use the roasted garlic butter on both sides of both pieces of bread.

Top one piece of bread with the jalapeño spread, sliced provolone cheese, and bacon. Top the other with more jalapeño spread.

Cook in a large sauté pan until both sides of the bread are toasted.
