Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour a tube pan or bundt pan.
Step 2
In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar on medium speed.
Step 3
Beat in the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Step 4
Heat the applesauce til very warm, then stir in the baking soda to this applesauce mixture.
Step 5
Add this mixture to the creamed butter/sugar mixture.
Step 6
Stir in the flour and salt and mix well.
Step 7
Add raisins.
Step 8
Pour into prepared pan and bake 50 to 60 minutes or til toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Step 9
Remove from oven and let it sit 10 minutes covered with a clean towel.
Step 10
Turn out onto a plate and allow to cool completely before slicing.
