Broccoli cheddar soup

3 cups fresh or frozen chopped broccoli
1 onion diced
2 tbs butter
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/4 tsp paprika
3 cloves crushed garlic
4 cups chicken broth
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 tbs flour
6 cups cheddar cheese
In a pot over high heat add butter onion and sauté 2 minutes. Add garlic sauté for an additional 1 to 2 minutes. Add in flour and sauté additional 1 minute. Add in chicken stock seasoning and broccoli. Bring to boil and boil until broccoli is tender about 5 to 7 minutes. Add heavy cream and bring to a boil. Stir in shredded cheese. Mix until fully melted. If desired blend smooth with blender or immersion blender and enjoy!
