Instructions
Step 1
Using metal tongs, hold the orange peel over a flame on the hob until it spots brown.
Step 2
Drop it into a large pan.
Step 3
Add the wine, port, brandy, sugar and spices.
Step 4
Simmer over medium heat for about 20 min, then strain into a heatproof jug/pitcher.
Step 5
Pour into small heatproof glasses and add a few raisins and almond slivers to each.
